Just like christians, malays have thier own bible too. It is called a holy quran.
The bark of the glam tree
The bark of a glam tree is smooth and soft, not like other tree barks. It is used for fixing broken ships and firewood.
The glam tree medicated oil
This oil can be used to cure stomach aches and has a very strong smell just like chinese medication oil. It is extracted from the glam trees leaves.

This is the dome of the mosque. The ring right below the dome is made out of glass bottles. The glass bottles came from the poor people who have no money to give their offerings. They would donate glass bottles instead.

This is one of the cakes in the rich and good cake shop. It is called a Kaya Swiss Roll.
The star and cresent
This is the symbol for the muslims. The crescent means that one quarter of the world are muslims. The star has five points which means that the muslims pray five times a day.
The cleansing area
This is the toilet is used to purify and clean the Muslims before they can be clean to enter the Mosque to pray as they have to be clean to be able to speak to God.

This is a malay instrument which is used during malay traditional festivals and events (e.g.weddings). The sound is rythemic and often synchronised.
Istana Kampong Glam. Built in the 1800s for Sultan Huissien. Completed in 1845.
Istana Kampong Glam was created for Sultan Hussein when he quoted, "I would like to build a palace." Unfortunately, it was only completed after the Sultan's death in 1943.

This is a prayer bead. It is frequently used when muslims pray. They also pray towards Mecca, a country in Saudi Arabia.
